Sheep Sorrel

Can you tell me if this plant is Sheep Sorrel or something else.
It is growing in great quantities in the hay field and we wanted to check that it is ok to cut the field for hay.

Not an expert, but to me it looks more like common sorrel. Apparently it is slightly toxic, but is freely eaten by grazing animals in the normal quantities found in meadows. There is no need to control it. It's a beautiful meadow plant - I love it for its colour, as well as the structure it adds to a sward.

Common sorrel. You can eat it in moderation. Oxalic acid gives it its sharp taste and is the reason not to overindulge, especially if pregnant.
