Hello fellow meadow enthusiasts,
The Big Meadow Search season 2023 starts on 1st June and runs until 31st August and it would be great to have your meadows represented in the project.
All you need to do is wander about and make a list of the plant species you find and submit these to us along with your name, location name, grid reference and date. Your findings can be submitted via our website but if that doesn’t suit you, you can send it to us in any format that suits. You dont have to be an expert to take part and you don’t have to be able to identify everything, just do what you can. We will collate all the data and make sure the records are shared with the relevant Local Environmental Records Centre. We also try to highlight the associations between plants and other species such as invertebrates, fungi and galls.
