Post by Donna Cox »

Find out how to create, restore and manage species rich hay meadows and find out about the wildlife that thrives within them.

Saturday 1st July at White Rocks Cottage, Simonsbath, TA24 7JT

The Exmoor Society have organised Exmoor's first Meadows Day in partnership with Sowing the Seed, Exmoor National Park Authority and FWAG South West.

There will be a morning and afternoon session - each with a half-hour talk by FWAG's Olly Edmonds followed by guided walks led by farming experts and ecologists up to the remarkable meadows of Exmoor Forest Estate. The first session starts at 11am and the second at 2pm.

It will be a wonderful day out for families, farmers, gardeners - anyone with an enthusiasm for the natural world and how to care for it.

How to book: The event is free although donations are always welcome. For more information please email: info@exmoorsociety.com (and let them know you heard about it on the meadows Forum!).
