Would you like to attract more wildlife and pollinators to your garden? Plus enjoy months of flowers? Find out how to create mini wildflower meadows, from scratch or an existing area of lawn, even in the smallest of gardens.

Adrian Thomas, author of the renewed RSPB Gardening for Wildlife, will show you how to create a flowering mini-meadow, how to manage it, and how to avoid the pitfalls from floppy grass to cutting it without damaging the wildlife attracted to it. Plus recommendations for spring bulbs for pollinators and everything you need to know about plug planting, and how it all fits into the garden ecosystem.

Every garden can offer an incredibly valuable refuge to wildlife. Once common species, from bumblebees to butterflies, sparrows to hedgehogs, are struggling – 56% of all UK species have declined since 1970. The good news is we can all help to reverse these trends. And the methods are easy. Every pocket of garden counts!

The talk will be followed by a Question & Answer session about mini-meadows and gardening with wildlife in mind.
