Interesting talks coming up very soon - Life on the Verge AND Future proofing our gardens in a Changing Climate

Post by Tracey Hamston »

Hi all,
I've been sent details of a couple of free, 'in person' talks coming up in Yealmpton. The Life on the Verge discussion is this Thursday 24th. See attached posters.

The second is a talk by Pete Yeo on 31st March, who has many interesting thoughts on plants, native, non-native and invasive.

Future-proofing our gardens and land in a changing climate – is it time to rethink weeds and invasives?

Even if we were to switch to low carbon-living tomorrow, climate change, in one form or another, is now inevitable and has profound implications for the plants in our gardens as well as in the wider landscape. How can we adapt to such change and embrace the gains as well as the challenges of a changing climate?

An illustrated talk by Pete Yeo | reconciliation ecologist | nature mentor. Website: www.futureflora.co.uk

FREE (donations to Yealmpton's Bee-wild's nature projects welcome:)
