You can buy a good handmade hay rake that works well at https://scythecymru.co.uk/wooden-rakes/. It's well worth watching the short video on the same page showing the father and son team who makes them.

Another supplier of rakes is Rudd’s in Cumbria, cost £6 less than the same rake from Emorsgate Seeds.

There is also this supplier https://thenaturalgardener.co.uk/handma ... y_rake.php

A little tip; Experience has shown that it's a good idea to soak the rake head in water for 10 minutes or so before raking in order to make the wood swell slightly. The teeth can sometimes drop out of their holes in the head when raking and get lost in amongst the raked hay. If you're storing a rake in a dry shed etc it can lead to the teeth shrinking very slightly and becoming loose.
