More than sourcing seed locally I think it's really important to source seeds of local provenance. By that I mean from old meadows that haven't had seed introduced. Getting seed from a neighbour's meadow that has been sown with bought-in seed doesn't mean it's local seed. I think this is especially ...

Low nutrient soil policy for Highways

A new initiative by Highways England will see all grassland areas on improvement schemes finished with low nutrient soil. This is to encourage the growth of wildflowers, rather than aggressive grasses, nettle and dock - from The Moorlander, 11th December 2020.
