Thanks Brian. We've also got very good germination where I put down green hay 2 years ago - and it is spreading slowly (despite haymaking). However, where I spread seeds on verges and some track-sides, the germination seems to have been very poor! It's not easy to establish without either green hay ...

Thanks Amy for your reply and description of your land - sounds really interesting - and important to safeguard these habitats in the upper part of the Taw catchment!
